The Colbert Report

It is so seldom recently that the Fayetteville School Board and its administration do something right, it cannot pass without comment that they got it right when Past Jefferson and current Holcomb Elementary School Principal John L. Colbert was named Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Instruction.

Colbert is active as a board member of the non-profit Northwest Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee and the Fayetteville Community Foundation, and he serves as Secretary of the Yvonne Richardson Center Board of Directors. In addition, he has worked with Special Olympics Arkansas, and at the University of Arkansas, he was honored as NPHC Advisor of the Year for his commitment to assisting Alpha Phi Alpha, which also won the campus awards for academic achievement and outstanding community service this year. That is all to say he cares deeply about education and our community.

Congratulations and best wishes!
