Kathy Jaycox for Mayor

Finally, some good news out of Springdale. In what was shaping up as a rather dismal field of four, Alderman Kathy Jaycox announced yesterday that she will be the fifth candidate in the race for Mayor of Springdale.

Jaycox, who has served on the City Council for 10 years, has emerged as one of the more progressive members of that body, and there is no better experience for someone seeking to serve as Mayor.
"As mayor," she promised, "I will be an advocate of our city to attract quality growth and greater opportunities for all our citizens." Those are two important goals that have often been missing in years past.

In a long career of community service, Kathy Jaycox served as president of the board of directors for the
Elizabeth Richardson Center for 13 years, she has worked with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for three years, and she is a director for the Circle of Life Hospice and Lifestyles Inc. Those experiences will serve her well in City Hall, and, more importantly, her constituents will be well served.

Rock Chalk, Jaycox!
