Does the School Board Listen to Patrons?

The Future of Fayetteville High School Select Committee II has now held two sessions devoted to public input on the future location of the high school. Both meetings were well attended, and at both the views expressed overwhelmingly favored retaining the current central location.

The public was interested. The public took the effort to voice their various opinions. Now we will see whether it mattered. Will the Future of Fayetteville High School Select Committee II recommend rebuilding a world class high school on the current site? Will the Fayetteville School Board vote to follow such a recommendation?

Is public participation and input valued, or is it mere window dressing for a decision that has already been made? I think that four members of the school board care, and I am hopeful that John DeLap does, too. Any bets?
