John Boozman's Blustering Blog

Just a few days ago, the liberal Democrat activists on the local Drinking Liberally blog said, "Whatever you might think of Boozman, he's not controversial. He's a nice, boring guy. Tough to run against someone who doesn't do anything to piss anyone off." They must not be regular readers of Congressman Boozman's partisan political blog on his taxpayer-funded website.

Boozman uses the official blog to bash Democrats, even when they agree with him. Yesterday's Boozman Blog entry attacked Congresional Democrats for questioning the objectivity and value of the Iraq report soon to be delivered by Army General David Petraeus, flippantly taunting, "It would seem like Congressional Democrats have a new tactic for 'holding the administration accountable.' Let’s dismiss the lawfully-required report before it is even made. For some reason, we are reminded of three monkeys…"

Boozman seems somewhat hypocritical on this issue, considering that he has also dismissed the value of the report "before it is even made." He recently told George Arnold of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's Northwest Step-Child that he was ready to cut and run, regardless of what the report concluded. According to Editor Arnold, "
He’s talking up the prospects of reducing troop levels. In fact, he said he expects that to happen whether the much-heralded report due from the commanders over there next month is a good one or a bad one. If it’s good, the pressure will be on to bring some troops home. If it’s bad, 'I think you’ll see the same thing.'"

Does anyone besides the Blogging Congressman Boozman think the Petraeus Report on Iraq might be "a good one"?
