"As an educator, I would like to express my strong opposition to any extension of Eighth Street that would negatively impact Northwest Arkansas Community College's Living Nature Laboratory. With its pond, post oak stand and small area of savannah, this area provides students access to tiny patches of ecosystems that are rapidly disappearing from this area. The idea of destroying such a uniquely accessible outdoor classroom to build a highway is absolutely abhorrent. Bentonville and the state of Arkansas have other alternatives. There is no need to destroy the Living Laboratory."
