"A true man will speak, not in humble whispers, lest he offend potentates and powers, but in clarion tones, swerving neither to the right nor to the left, till at last his words of fire burn through dull understandings and into cold hearts."

Jonah--
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back, even if you're gone.
Thanks, Elwood and David. One of our most insightful contributors (Jonah 4) died last week, and we were already down two from graduation and one from job relocation. The remaining crew have been in deep depression since the elections, so we are taking a break and seeing if we can reclaim the energy and snarkiness that we once had. Even so, we realize the difficulty of re-establishing the readership we once had.
ReplyDeleteUntil then, we urge everyone to be constant readers of your favorite blogs. The Fayetteville Flyer and Ozarks Unbound are not quite the same media as, say, Street Jazz or Aubunique or Fayettevillage Voice or Rogers, but they have reshaped the online environment in significant ways that have changed the role of opinion blogs. We'll have to see if we can still compete when we return.
Ozarks Unbound is slowly and surely becoming the butt-boy of Fayetteville resident nutcake Larry Ash.
ReplyDeleteAsh has been soaping him up real good.
